The podcast was created on the basis of many private discussions. The topic of business model development and innovation management has received an enormous amount of attention in the last decade. Numerous models, frameworks and approaches have been developed. Many initiatives have been launched to enable start-ups to be successful. Corporations have invested large sums in IoT, automation and data management, among other things, in order to successfully differentiate themselves in the future. However, sales are usually left by the wayside. The SalesX and Innovation podcast aims to build a bridge here. The aim is to deliberately talk about theoretical models and frameworks so that the statements are comprehensible and the discussions are systematic. Sales is facing numerous challenges. It is not just e-commerce that represents a huge transformation; sales approaches and technologies in personal selling also need to be mastered. Studies have come to the conclusion that in the coming years, only one in three salespeople will be able to successfully navigate the transformation. Despite their high relevance, companies are still paying far too little attention to the topic of innovative sales and innovative sales approaches. This results in many business models or value propositions that will never reach a customer due to a poor sales approach.
