The aim of the Sales Excellence Study is to systematically examine current developments in sales and distribution in Switzerland. This makes the study unique in the Swiss sales and distribution landscape. The latest findings are published every year. The study is based on the success factors of sales excellence and is supplemented with current trends in sales and distribution. The study provides an in-depth look at company sizes and industries and can therefore provide valuable information for sales managers. The key findings of the Sales Excellence Study are presented each year at the Sales Excellence Think Tank.

Sales Excellence Study 2024

The Sales Excellence Study 2024 examines the key success factors of sales excellence. It also examines the use of digital tools, management style, the sale of innovations and the use of customer value models.

In the study results, you will find out which success factors need to be considered in sales and which elements have little influence on success in sales. In addition, an initial salary benchmark in Swiss sales is presented.

The Sales Excellence Study builds on our Sales Excellence Modeland our experience based on our sales consulting. The following four dimensions are systematically examined:

  2. Distribution strategy
  3. transformation
  4. Sales Management

In a first step, the respective success factors per dimension are examined and recommendations are made for different sectors and company sizes. In addition, further topics such as CRM, marketing automation, selling innovation, customer acquisition and co-creation are integrated into the study each year. This enables a comparison over time and new insights into sales. The study is supplemented by a salary barometer that shows how salaries in Swiss sales are developing. This makes the study unique in Switzerland and provides in-depth insights into a previously hidden area of the company. The key findings are presented each year at the Denkwerkstatt Sales Excellence.
